Assessments

Every teacher has their own take on assessment.  We give tests in our classes and must prepare our students for the dreaded standardized tests.  Rarely do we think about the types of assessments we are imposing on our students.  What do we want to measure? How do we best measure that? What question type is going to best get to the heart of the matter?
